About Us

The Tech Bar is a place for students, faculty and staff development of digital skills and competencies. We have both student workers and full time staff to help anyone who needs it with things like learning to use Google, creating a website, learning to make a video or do a screencast, create digital maps, learn spreadsheets, data security or really anything in the digital world. Any student, faculty or staff member can either walk-in or make an appointment. Further, we also put on staff/faculty training 2 times per year in winter and summer at a Tech Bar Conference where we go hands on with the amazing processes and tools we have here at SNC.

Students, faculty, and staff are able to set up an appointment with one of our qualified student workers to get assistance on many different platforms, technologies, and tools used in courses here at SNC. Anyone interested in visiting the Tech Bar is able to schedule an appointment through the Tech Bar scheduler.

How Can We Help You?

Students

Students can come to the Tech Bar if they need help with any digital project.
They can schedule an appointment to get help with projects assigned by professors as well as non school-related digital works that they have.

We can help with:
Editing a video for assignment or personal project
Creating and managing a website (including, but not limited to personal portfolios, blogs, and course repertoire sites)
Understanding and using digital media platforms including Canva and the Adobe Suite
Recording and Editing Podcasts

Faculty

The Tech Bar works with different SNC faculty members that are looking to provide their students with different digital projects and resources. After a student has made and completed an appointment, both the student and the professor will receive a receipt as proof of the completed appointment.
